Bed Skirts

General Information

When measuring for a bed skirt, it is critical that you measure the box spring, NOT the top mattress.

Construction:
  • Bed Skirts are typically sewn onto a solid deck or platform.
  • A 4" band of matching fabric sewn to the deck edge is standard.
  • Three sided and pattern matched is standard.
  • Continuous corners (all one piece with no splits) are standard.
  • A lined bed skirt is standard.
  • There is a charge for lining material provided by the Workroom or you may supply your own lining.
  • The fabric may be railroaded, please specify on the work order.
  • All seams are finished on the inside to eliminate fraying.

Options:
  • Trims or welts can be added between deck edge and top of bed skirt.
  • Banding at the hem edge or inset, either contrast fabric or applied trim.
  • A tongue can be added behind the split corners.
  • Contrast fabric can be added in the pleats.
  • Ties or frogs can be added at the corners for a great detail.

We are always happy to discuss the details, answer any questions and help guide you in your fabric selection.
It is our goal to make your items absolutely fabulous!
